Gaviscon Liquid Peppermint Suspension
Gaviscon Liquid Peppermint is an oral suspension indicated for gastric reflux, reflux oesophagitis, heartburn, including heartburn of pregnancy, hiatus hernia and discomfort associated with gastric reflux. The sodium alginate formulation forms a protective raft over stomach contents.
Directions
Shake the bottle before use. Adults and children over 12 years: Take 10 to 20 ml after meals and at bedtime. Children under 12 years: Use only on medical advice.
Composition
Each 10 ml contains sodium alginate 500 mg in a thickened base containing sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate.
Pack size
150 ml peppermint-flavoured suspension.
Important information
- Do not use if allergic to sodium alginate or any other ingredient, including the preservatives.
- Contains sodium and calcium; consult a healthcare professional if you follow a restricted-salt diet or have kidney disease, heart disease or high blood pressure.
- Seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days.
- Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate.
- Keep out of reach of children.
