Smecta Orange Diosmectite Sachets
Smecta contains diosmectite, a natural clay that covers and protects the intestinal mucosa and binds substances in the digestive tract. It is used to assist in the management of acute diarrhoea.
Directions
Mix the contents of each sachet in half a glass of water before administration. For acute diarrhoea, children older than 2 years: four sachets daily for the first 3 days, then two sachets daily. Adults: three sachets daily for 7 days. Use in children together with an oral rehydration solution and follow the leaflet or healthcare professional’s advice.

Important information
- Maintaining fluid and electrolyte intake is essential during diarrhoea.
- Do not use if allergic to diosmectite or any other ingredient.
- Contains glucose and sucrose and may be unsuitable with certain hereditary sugar-intolerance conditions.
- Take other oral medicines at least two hours apart from Smecta.
- Seek medical advice for fever, vomiting, sudden weight loss, severe constipation, dehydration, worsening symptoms or diarrhoea lasting longer than 7 days.
- Keep out of reach of children.
